Coritiba has been undefeated champion of Paraná twice. In 1935, they had six wins and one draw, scored 19 goals and conceded 11. In 2003, they played 13 games, won 9, drew 4, scored 31 and conceded 11. It is the first club in the State of Paraná to compete in the Libertadores. This achievement was achieved in 1985 as Brazilian champion. In 1988 Coritiba began negotiations with Pinheiros for a merger. The club would be called Paraná and would be green and blue.
