An Atlético Paranaense fan started calling the player Breyer, from Coritiba, a very German type, a white thigh. The joke took shape and, little by little, Coritiba players and fans began to receive the same nickname. Over time, the pejorative term fell to the taste of fans. So much so that, in the late 1960s, coxa became the rallying cry of the alviverde fans.
